Essential information about your arrival, departure & transit at Soekarno Hatta Airport
Located at the area of Cengkareng banten. Bandara Soekarno-Hatta International Airport consists of a land area of 18km2. The airport was designed by Paul Andreau, a French architect who also designed Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport. By car, the airport is about 45-60 minutes away from Jakarta in good traffic conditions.
There are 3 Terminal buildings:
- Terminal 1 serves all domestic flights except Garuda Indonesia & Merpati Nusantara Airlines. There are 3 sub-terminals: A, B & C.
- Terminal 2 serves all international flights including Garuda Airlines domestic flights & Merpati Nusantara Airlines. There are 3 sub-terminals: D, E & F.
- Terminal 3 serves domestic flights such as Indonesia AirAsia. The terminal is organized according to different piers, Piers 1-5. The terminal is still under construction. Currently, only Pier 1 is in operation.

Visa on Arrival (VOA)
Upon arrival in Soekarno Hatta, foreign nations of the following countries must obtain their VOA at the immigration clearance points: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Citizens of these countries will be able to apply for a VoA valid for either 3 or 30 days upon arrival by air in Bali, Jakarta and a few other international airports or by ship at a limited number of Indonesian sea ports. A 3-day visa costs US$10 and a 30-day visa costs US$25.
A visa extension of 15 days is allowed upon payment of an additional fee, please note that the application for extension must be made prior to expiry of your visa. Visitors that stay beyond their visa expiry date will be charged a fine of USD20.00 per day of overstay upon departure.

Departure Tax
For local & international travelers departing from Soekarno Hatta, you will be required to make a departure tax payment to your travel agent or upon check-in at the airport. The departure tax is IDR 30,000 per passenger for a domestic flight; IDR150,000 per passenger for an international flight. Currency payment in Indonesia Rupiah (IDR) is required.

Jakarta Airport Hotel is conveniently located at Terminal 2E in Soekarno Hatta International Airport. You can arrive at the hotel by taking the elevator up to Level 2, Departure Hall and you will be able to view the entrance to the hotel.
